Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge AR
From its humble beginnings in 1978 with one rescued lion cub, to its current home in 1991, to becoming an accredited sanctuary in 2015, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Rescue’s mission is to provide, “a lifetime refuge for abandoned, abused, and neglected big cats, with an emphasis on tigers, lions, leopards, and cougars.”

PEIVDF visited a facility new to us, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, in Eureka Springs AR, August 2012.
During the first mission to this great facility, PEIVDF instructors and students treated 7 animals: 2 cougars, 2 leopards, and 3 tigers. The team performed (20) root canal therapies, (6) extractions, and (5) other oral surgical procedures.
